Plain terms for a site that makes introductions. The important part is the third section, so read that one if you read nothing else.
An informational site operated from Medellín, Colombia, that makes introductions between people interested in Colombian property and licensed local professionals. Use of the site is free.
Everything here is written carefully and checked, and some of it will still go out of date. Colombian minimum-wage-indexed thresholds change every January. Regulations on short-term rentals are actively changing. Exchange rates move daily. Figures on this site are current as of the date noted where they appear; verify anything you're going to act on, and tell me if you find something wrong.
Nothing on this site is legal, tax, immigration, or investment advice, and reading it creates no professional relationship of any kind. I am not a licensed Colombian real estate broker, not a lawyer, and not a tax adviser. Property transactions and visa applications in Colombia require qualified local professionals, and you should retain your own — not rely on a website, including this one.
When I introduce you to a broker or lawyer, they are an independent business. I don't control their conduct, their pricing, their timelines or their advice, and I'm not responsible for the outcome of any transaction you enter into with them. I introduce people I have reason to think are competent. That is a judgement, not a guarantee, and you should do your own diligence on anyone you're about to pay.
By the professional, out of their commission, if a transaction closes. Not by you. This is disclosed here, on the homepage, and on the About page, because you should be able to weigh it.
The site is provided as-is. To the extent the law allows, I'm not liable for losses arising from decisions made on the basis of information published here.
The writing and the elevation graphics on this site are mine. Quote a paragraph with a link if it's useful to you; don't republish pages wholesale.
Colombian law governs these terms, and the courts of Medellín, Antioquia have jurisdiction over disputes about them.
